CBD FAQs

CBD stands for cannabidiol, which is one of over 100 cannabinoids found in the cannabis or hemp plant. CBD is non-intoxicating and does not produce a ‘high’ effect.

CBD interacts with the body’s endocannabinoid system, which helps regulate various functions like pain, mood, sleep, and appetite. CBD binds to receptors in this system and may help reduce inflammation and pain perception.

All our products are sold as tea, food or food supplements. Despite this many of our customers use our products in conjunction with illnesses and we always recommend informing your medical consultant before taking CBD.

When it comes to buying CBD, you have a lot of options. Some of the most popular CBD products include CBD oils, CBD capsules, CBD gummies, CBD creams, CBD isolate, CBD vape, and CBD herbal hemp tea.

CBD oils and tinctures are a great option for overall wellness. They offer high bioavailability when taken sublingually. CBD capsules provide precise doses and are easy to add to your routine. CBD gummies are a tasty way to try CBD, especially if you don’t like the natural taste of hemp.

For targeted relief, CBD topicals like creams, balms and roll-ons can be applied directly to the skin. CBD isolate is pure CBD powder that can be added to foods or smoothies. CBD herbal hemp tea is a soothing drink that allows you to ingest CBD orally. Finally, CBD vapes and e-liquids allow you to inhale CBD vapour for faster effects.

The type of CBD product you choose depends on your preferences and needs. It’s a good idea to start with lower concentrations and work your way up. Talk to a knowledgeable CBD seller to find the best CBD supplements for you. And be sure to research brands and read reviews online from other CBD users.

CBD is a non-intoxicating compound found in cannabis plants and hemp plants. Unlike THC, the psychoactive compound in marijuana that causes a high, CBD does not have intoxicating effects.

CBD products made from hemp seed oil contain only trace amounts of THC (less than 0.2%), which is not enough to produce psychoactive effects. Full-spectrum CBD may contain small amounts of THC, but not enough to make you high, especially when taken in proper doses.

While you may feel more relaxed and calm, and experience other benefits from taking CBD, you will not get high or experience euphoria. Some people do report feeling drowsy or sleepy when taking higher doses of CBD, but this is not intoxication. Talk to your doctor about proper CBD dosing to avoid unwanted side effects.

CBD is legal in the UK. It does not appear on any schedules to the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971 or the Misuse of Drugs Regulations 2001.

Terpenes are plant hydrocarbons, derived from cannabis, natural fruits and vegetables. Simply, they are the aroma of specific strains of cannabis. Customers who purchase these are looking to get the most out of their CBD products by enhancing the “entourage effect”, a recent finding by scientists in Israel. They are fluid in nature and can be diluted into vapes, drinks, and diffusers or even applied topically onto the temporal bone. Certain terpenes are well suited for relaxation, whereas others are more appropriate for energy stimulation.

CBD oil is a liquid that typically contains 2 things: a carrier oil (e.g. coconut oil) and cannabinoids (CBD). A carrier oil is needed because cannabis is fat soluble by nature. In order for our bodies to fully absorb CBD, we need an oil to accompany it. The fact that it is already infused in oil and ready to consume with no other steps makes CBD oil a very convenient way to administer CBD.

Concentrates come in the form of a paste or wax. Typically, they contain a higher CBD content than the oils and can be more appropriate for customers looking to take high levels of CBD every day. They tend not to be oil infused, and should therefore be consumed with a fat on the side. This can be done simply by swallowing a tablespoon of coconut oil after holding the concentrate under your tongue for 30 seconds.

CBD crystals are one of the most versatile CBD products. They are both fat and water soluble, and can therefore be dissolved into drinks, or added to oils for cooking or vaping. They contain only one cannabinoid from the plant, CBD, and are completely isolated from all other plant compounds. This makes them 100% THC-free. If you intend to add them to drinks, simply stir them into the drink of your choice. If you are looking to make edibles, first mix the crystals into your cooking oil, and then proceed with your usual cooking routine.

Unfortunately, we are limited in what we can say when asked this question. This is partly due to the legality of offering such advice, and also because each person responds very differently to different doses of CBD. Here are two approaches you might find useful to determine your dose:

  1. Start off by flooding your system with a high concentration of CBD, and over time decrease your dose. If the desired effects continue to present themselves after the dose has been decreased, it’s likely that you don’t need to take such a high concentration and can continue to decrease your serving size until the desired effects discontinue. At this point, you should know what your dose looks like.
  2. Start off by taking a low concentration of CBD and continuously increase this serving until the desired effects are noticeable. This will help determine what an appropriate daily serving of CBD is for yourself.

The first option tends to be more popular among our customers since they are more likely to realise immediate results with the product.

Some of the potential benefits of taking CBD include reducing anxiety, improving sleep, alleviating pain, reducing inflammation, treating seizures, neuroprotective properties, and more. However, more research is still needed.

CBD effects are usually felt within 30 minutes to 2 hours after ingestion. However, optimal effects may require consistent use over several days or weeks. The time depends on the dose, delivery method, and your biochemistry.

Most experts consider CBD relatively safe with limited side effects. Potential side effects may include drowsiness, nausea, diarrhoea, fatigue, appetite changes, and irritability. CBD may also interact with certain medications. Speak to your doctor first.
